That is what students say when they see the very real looking fake fruit and vegetables in the English Department.
Students in the English department who saw the fake fruits and vegetables that look just like the real thing say:
When children can see and touch such real looking objects they are very excited and motivated to learn.

Grade 2 – How do you say “matsu(松)” in English?
Recently the grade 2 students learned about Sugano(菅野) area.
It was a very fun surprise to learn about the English name for the Japanese word “matsu” and “matsubokkuri”
What is this? It`s a matsubokuri(まつぼっくり)”
“What fruit does it look like? “It looks like a pineapple!”
Yes, that`s right. “Matsubokkuri is pine cone in English, and matsu is pine tree”
This is true! The pineapple got the name in English because it looks like a pine cone.
Pine is from the shape and apple means fruit.
